BYU has a great sports tradition, and many professional players are BYU graduates. Steve Young, Jim McMahon, and Ty Detmer have had successful NFL careers, and Jimmer Fredette is expected to be a strong player for the Kings in his first NBA season.

Since Brittany Apartments are within walking distance to BYU campus and the sporting events held there, our residents find it easy to attend games and support their Cougars. Maybe you could be watching the next professional sports star to come out of BYU.

For the film and drama majors at BYU, you may be interested to know that the director, writers, and star of the film Napoleon Dynamite were BYU students. Jared and Jerusha Hess, married co-writers, and Jon Heder all met as students at BYU. Authors Orson Scott Card and Stephanie Meyer are both BYU graduates as well as Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings.

Today’s Brittany Apartments BYU housing blog highlights Trafalga Fun Center, a popular attraction for current and future BYU students. If you need to get your mind off your BYU studies, Trafalga is a great place to play, day or night.

If speed is your thing, the Go Karts are waiting for you to scream around the track. Baseball players enjoy swinging at fast balls in the batting cage. The Trafalga arcade has classic games like air hockey, and some newer games including Guitar Hero, Deal or No Deal, and Ice Ball. Late Night Cosmic Golf and Black Light Indoor Mini Golf offer two twists on an old favorite. The XD theatre combines wind, motion, and sound with 3D movies for an experience you’ll never forget.

Trafalga provides a out-of-the-ordinary date night for married and single BYU students. If you go on a Thursday, you can take advantage of Trafalga’s $3 Thursday pricing and pay just three dollars for any attraction.

Trafalga Fun Center is located just a few miles west of Brittany Apartments in Orem. The address is 168 South 1200 West. If you take 1-15, it is just south of the Center Street Exit 271. If you come from Orem Center Street, travel west to 1200 west, take a left and Trafalga is on your right.
